What is Restorative Dental Care?

Restorative dental care are procedures designed to restore the function and appearance of your smile.

By restoring damaged teeth or replacing missing teeth, our dentists can help you restore your smile and oral health.

Depending on your problem, the dentists at Dubreuil Lévesque Dental Centre will recommend a treatment plan.

Dental Crowns

Porcelain ceramic crowns are custom designed and placed on top of the teeth to restore their function and appearance. Crowns are used to fix bridges, cover dental implants, or repair a cracked tooth. They also help restore a discolored or stained tooth to its natural appearance.

Dental Bridges

Bridges are prosthetic devices that are attached to existing teeth or dental implants. They are used to replace a section of missing teeth. The bridges are barely noticeable since they are made to measure and in a natural color. Bridges can restore the contour of the teeth and the occlusion between the upper and lower teeth.

Dental Fillings

At Dubreuil Lévesque Dental Centre, we use natural-looking composite fillings to restore a damaged tooth back to normal function and shape. This type of filling easily withstands pressure when chewing and can be used on both front and back teeth.

Full & Partial Dentures

Dentures are prosthetic devices used to replace missing teeth. They can replace one or more teeth (partial denture) or an entire jawbone of missing teeth (full denture ). Prostheses allow patients to maintain their facial structure, to speak, and to eat properly.

Same-day dental restorations

Thanks to CEREC® technology, our dentists can make and place ceramic crowns and inlays in one appointment to help you regain a radiant smile. No need for impressions or temporary crowns, just natural-looking restorations in one visit to our clinic.

Inlays

Inlays are natural colored porcelain fillings that restore the teeth when the damage is too great for a standard filling. They are custom made in a lab and then permanently placed to the tooth in one piece.

Root Canals

A root canal is a procedure where your dentist removes diseased blood vessels, nerves, and tissues from the interior of a tooth. By removing the decay and bacteria, your dentist can help halt the spread of infection and prevent the need for an extraction.

Periodontal (Gum) Therapy

Periodontal disease is an infection of the oral tissues including the gums. Maintaining good oral hygiene is the best way to prevent it. If the disease is detected in the early stages, preventive treatment will be recommended. Otherwise, treatments will depend on the type and severity of the disease.

TMJ Disorder Treatment

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is where the lower jaw (mandible) is attached to the skull. TMJ disorder can cause problems and pain in the jaw and facial muscles. Our dentists can review, diagnose and develop a treatment plan for TMJ disorders.
